Hi everyone, and greetings from Santa Barbara! Yep, I’m still here, although once in a while I still threaten to leave in order to travel around the world. Some day…

Anyway, there’s not too much to tell if you’ve spoken to me in the past few months. Still here, still working, still hoping to get more travel stuff written and out there. And I’m still unclear how Facebook works. Really, I tried to hug someone and I ended up offering a tequila shot to my friend’s 17-year-old daughter. (Of course, these are merely “cyber actions,” but still…) Does that make me old when I can’t understand the trendy stuff? Well, at least I can program a VCR clock.

Whataya mean no one uses VCRs anymore? What the…? Where’s the love?!

Letter to Family & Friends-Intro

Hi Everyone,

Well, hello there and welcome to my blog. There are many of you I haven’t spoken to in weeks, months, or (many apologies for this) well over a year. As good at keeping in touch as I used to be, at some point I got really really bad at it. Blame it on growing roots in Santa Barbara and becoming somewhat stable and focused on my life here, or blame it on a horrid case of procrastination (I really think I’ll be getting Christmas cards out any day now). Well, you’d be right on either count, but it’s no excuse.
